Introduction: Care, as a moral virtue, constitutes the essence and key element of nursing care, and this brings satisfaction to the parents of hospitalized children. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the relationship between the moral care of nurses and the satisfaction of parents of hospitalized children in northwest Iran. Methods and Materials: The present study is a descriptive correlational survey conducted in 2023 in northwest Iran, Ardabil city. In this study, 200 nurses and 160 parents of children hospitalized in a specialized pediatric center participated by census and stratified random sampling. Questionnaires (demographic information of nurses and parents, moral care of nurses, and satisfaction of parents) were used to collect data. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 26 software and descriptive and analytical statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and linear regression. Results: Among the samples, 85% of nurses and 95% of parents reported their level of moral care and satisfaction with nursing care at an average level, respectively. The step-by-step linear regression test results showed a positive and significant correlation between moral care from nurses' point of view and parents' satisfaction (r=0.47 and P=0.001). Among the components of ethical care, the Emotional needs factor as the strongest predictor of parental satisfaction predicted 11% of the changes. Conclusion and discussion: Considering the importance of ethical care and satisfaction of parents in performing comprehensive care and obtaining satisfaction and improvement of hospitalized children, the results of this study can make decision-makers and policymakers of the healthcare system aware of the state of family-centered care as a result of satisfaction Parents of children admitted to medical education centers.
