Introduction: Suicide accounts for 1.5% of deaths worldwide, with over 800,000 deaths annually. The majority of suicides occur in low-income and middle-income countries, where identifying individuals at risk remains challenging. Many people at risk of suicide avoid seeking medical help due to stigma or lack of self-identification. In this context, artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and big data analytics offer promise. By leveraging electronic medical records (EMRs) and online platforms, researchers can analyze complex health data to predict suicide risk. However, ethical considerations arise, including issues related to privacy, informed consent, and algorithmic transparency. Balancing beneficence and autonomy is crucial when applying AI to suicide prevention. Method: The search spanned from 2014 to 2024, targeting relevant studies on ethical issues of using AI tools for adolescent suicide prevention. Articles were retrieved from repositories such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, and Springer Link using Boolean search strings like “Machine Learning”, “Deep Learning”, “artificial intelligence”, and specific terms related to adolescent suicide. Results: A total of 24 articles were initially identified. Subsequent screening removed duplicates and irrelevant articles. The final selection comprised 8 relevant articles. Conclusion: Findings indicate that Artificial Intelligence (AI) holds promise for enhancing suicide risk detection. However, addressing four critical ethical considerations—Privacy and Confidentiality, Communication and Consent, Legal and Ethical Boundaries, and Data Use and Individual Privacy—is essential. Collaboration among ethicists, mental health professionals, technology experts, and adolescent advocates is crucial to establish robust ethical guidelines for AI use in this field. Ongoing dialogue and cooperation are necessary to navigate the evolving ethical landscape. Key word: Artificial intelligence, Adolescent, Ethics, Suicide prevention
