Background: Family-centered care (FCC) is a crucial approach in pediatrics, emphasizing the involvement of families in the healthcare process. Telehealth, the delivery of health services via telecommunications technology, has become an essential tool in providing accessible and convenient healthcare for children. This study reviews strategies for using telehealth to support FCC in pediatric care. Method: This study is a review conducted in 2024. Relevant findings were reviewed in international and national databases, including PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, ISI, and SID. The search strategy included keywords related to Pediatric, Telehealth, Remote healthcare, family centered care, and FCC. The most relevant articles based on inclusion and exclusion criteria, were reviewed. Results: This review identified following strategies: * Communication Strategies: Like video consultations, scheduled video visits * Educational Strategies: Parental Education programs, Enhancing parental information and coping, Training pediatric healthcare providers * Support Strategies: Providing emotional support for families, Virtual support programs, Virtual peer support, Virtual support groups, Remote Coaching * Access to services: Telehealth and telemedicine for rural and underserved areas, access to webcams and live streams in wards * Care coordination: Remote monitoring, Remote follow up * Emergency care: Management of minor illnesses and injuries, immediate access to pediatricians, Better triage Conclusion: Telehealth has proven to be a valuable tool in supporting family-centered care in pediatric nursing. By enhancing accessibility, engagement, and communication, telehealth can improve family satisfaction and health outcomes. It is also important to consider privacy, security and legal considerations in using telehealth. Addressing existing challenges and continuing to innovate in telehealth practices will be essential for optimizing family-centered pediatric care in the future.
